About the Clark County Amateur Radio Association
The Clark County Amateur Radio Association (CLARA) is a ham radio club in the Springfield, Ohio area. We provide communications support to civic and public service events including runs, bicycle rides; emergency communications during hazmat incidents, fires, snow emergencies, missing child searches; weather spotter support to local officials and the National Weather Service during severe weather; and an opportunity for amateur radio operators to meet and discuss radio related topics.
Our club is more than just communications support, however. We have our annual club dinner in January, annual club picnic in June, Saturday morning breakfasts, and at least one field trip per year in lieu of a club meeting.

We also meet on the 146.730 MHz repeater system for our weekly Monday night net at 7:15 PM (except on the third Monday of the month which is meeting night). All amateur radio operators are welcome to check in.
Repeaters
The two CLARA repeater systems are open to all licensed hams. The 146.730 MHz repeater is the primary system. A CTCSS tone of 77.0 Hz is used to access the Enon, East remote receive sites and the main 146.730 repeater site. The 146.730 repeater system always transmits a 77 Hz CTCSS tone. The 145.310 MHz repeater is our other CLARA repeater (no CTCSS tone is required).
